About the Park

Adventure WonderlandAdventure WonderlandWild Thing! At Adventure Wonderland

Adventure Wonderland, opposite Bournemouth Airport, is Dorset's number one family theme park and when you get here you'll see why! It's just packed full of so much fun and excitement for all our young visitors that you'll want to stay all day.

It's really three parks in one, with Adventureland and Wonderland outside and the Wild Thing! Aztec play centre inside. It's an all inclusive experience which combines the timeless fun and games of the Alice in Wonderland story with thrilling outdoor adventure rides in the main park and the indoor Wild Thing! centre. There are over 28 fantastic rides and attractions throughout the park to excite and entertain from speedy rides like Turbo Teacups and Wild Bill's Runaway Train through to more gentle rides like Curvy Caterpillars and Flying Elephants and everything in between. Not forgetting the ever popular Animals Cuddle Corner introducing children to a range of furry creatures!

Indoors the Wild Thing! Aztec play centre is packed with imaginative activities such as Quake Tube, Spider Maze and Montyzoomers Thunderdrome amongst many others. It's also home to the Café of Muchooeatyou, themed party rooms and a mezzanine TV lounge.

Alice in Wonderland characters at Adventure WonderlandWe also have regular appearances by our resident park characters including Alice, The Mad Hatter, The White Rabbit, The Queen of Hearts and Cortez the Lion!

Adventure Wonderland Events and ShowsPlus, during the main season, the park is visited by many famous characters. Last year people flocked to Spongebob Squarepants and a Cyberman. Add to this the largest natural hedge maze in the South, the hilarious main season Pantomime and Magic shows in the 300 seater Happydrome Theatre (storytelling at other times), themed selection of shopping outlets and The Mad Hatter's Restaurant and you can see why this unique park is such a popular attraction with all the young families who come to visit.

Halloween at Adventure WonderlandChristmas at Adventure WonderlandThe whole park is open during the main season (March to September) and then during the Halloween season, the play centre, our maze and theatre are transformed into a world of spooks and skellys with a whole range of fangtastic events and entertainment. Again during the Christmas season we go Christmas crazy with a wonderful Pantomime in the theatre and we welcome Father Christmas and Rudolph who take over their cosy log cabin to distribute Christmas joy and presents to their young visitors.
